This cat-back center exhaust is made in Idaho, USA by welding experts who like to show off their colorful welding artwork. It is 100% street legal and will not void any GM warranty. The exhaust is a "monoblock exhaust"- meaning it is one solid piece of US-made stainless steel. There is no connecting tubes for installation other than to the headers and cats. It is incredibly easy to install. It also includes valve simulators to avoid check engine lights. The entire exhaust is made of larger 3-inch mandrel-bent pipe until exiting the 4-inch quad custom tips. Extreme quality and artwork is achieved with skilled Gas Tungsten Arc Welding masters for vibrant weld colors. And everything is 100% Argonne back purged for the perfect weld straight through to the unseen side.

The Center Exit Exhaust (CEE for short) for the C8 Corvette is more tricky to engineer than a standard one. It becomes a matter of architecture as well. The exhaust must be suspended between the stock exhaust hanger mounts while taking the abuse from daily driving. The original prototype used a single ½ inch steel rod to span the hanger mounts. It proved to work perfectly well. However, when adapting the exhaust for consumer use, over-engineering for safety and durability is paramount. As such the hanger bridge was added.
This hanger bridge is waterjet cut from 1/8 inch stainless steel with the continuous cube logo used by the designer since 1997. And the AEROLARRI logo itself also becomes a structural component of the architecture. The hanger bridge also consists of a top rod to frame the logo structure to which it is expertly welded. Along with more triangular supports, the hanger bridge now can take far more punishment than is required. Additionally, its grille-like openings allow plenty of air to pass through, and so also act as a giant heat sink. Given how close the tips are to the headers, this heat sink effect might be more substantial than most people first imagine. Finally, as the hanger bridge is tucked behind the rear diffuser and the existing black honeycomb grille, it is only visible at specific angles. And it is a cool hidden feature to point out to people.
Only a small alteration is required for install. The area of the diffuser needs trimming above where the exhaust tips go. This is approximately a 1.5 inch high cut in plastic.
