AEROLARRI Max Grab Lug Nuts are categorically better than any other kind. Anyone can observe why. Max Grab Lug nuts have an extra cylinder of threads to hold the the lug nuts on tighter. Both the AEROLARRI wheels and our Mag Grab lug nuts are specifically redesigned to work with each other. All AEROLARRI wheels can also use regular lug nuts. But if you have the choice to get something better, why would you not?
Max Grab lug nuts fill the extra structural distance between the conical seat of the wheel and the back of the wheel with more threads- thus grabbing the maximum amount. This results in a stronger hold.
Each AEROLARRI wheel's lug nut seat has been adapted to fit. This includes a smallest bit of space below the cylinder so the lug nut is never torqued into the wheel hub and the compression of the wheel is maintained. The Max Grab lug nuts provide nearly 1 cm extra thread length.
AEROLARRI Max Grab lug nuts may not fit any other wheel. This type of lug nut is so rare that we literally had to design and manufacture the entire supply ourselves under our own brand. The added benefit to this is we could made them out of the best Grade 8 steel which provides for the best tensile strength along with less brittle tendencies. This is important because it prevents the cylinder from braking off. Although, even if it could, the wheel would slip off like normal. It can't get locked on.
Max Grab lug nuts come in either Black or Chrome. A full set of Max Grab lug nuts costs $99 if purchased with a set of AEROLARRI wheels and is included in the wheel's box. Simply choose this option when you are at check out when buying your wheel set. If you would like it shipped by air to your address, the total cost is $165. All AEROLARRI wheels made after 2/2/2022 are made to fit these lug nuts. DO NOT use Max Grab lug nuts with any AEROLARRI Wheels made before this date.
A full set of Max Grab Lug nuts contains 24 lug nuts. Yes, that means you get 4 spare lug nuts. All Max Grab Lug nuts are M14x1.5 with cone seat. This works with the C8 Corvette, all Tesla models and others To have them air shipped to your door, buy here: |
The original C8 Corvette lug nuts are gigantic and may, or may not, work with our wheels. If attempting to reuse the stock lug nuts, the important thing to test is whether both seats mate flush with each other by hand. Also it may be hard to find a socket with thin enough walls to slide past the lug nut openings on the wheels. Here you will see the OEM GM C8 Corvette lug nuts vs ours (or most aftermarket lug nuts). We have observed that most wheel buyers do not want to mess around with test fitting, and just get the Max Grab lug nuts.

Update: all our monoblock wheels now fit the Z06, E-Ray, ZR1 and Zora perfectly flush WITHOUT spacers. We have developed a new forged 21x13 blank entirely. Still this section is interesting: Why did we make these? Max Grab lug nuts are great for all AEROLARRI wheels. But why develop these world's best lug nuts when regular lug nuts work just fine? The short answer is for the C8 Z06. Because the C8 Z06 is a widebody version, the 21x13 rear monoblocks we make can be made extra flush with the fenders using a modest plain spacer. Generally, spacers are not good to use because they either add complexity, OR reduce the number of threads grabbing the lug bolts. Ahh, you might see where this is going already! With the option of using a spacer, the Z06 owner can dial-in the level of flushness they desire with the Z06. This is not required for our 2-piece models since they can be made with the perfect offsets for the Z06 without any spacers. But in order to achieve a greater flushness with a less-expensive *monoblock* wheel, this is the solution. Also, we are expanding our 2-piece selections to fill that demand. We can make any style in 2-piece, just ask. Even custom styles.
Do a couple thin spacers with 21x13 rear wheels work? Yes! Here's the evidence. In order to achieve the absolute perfect fitment with the 21x13 wheel on a base C8 Corvette, we needed to do testing. Testing with spacers was done with a road trip across America- called AEROLARRI Across America! Note- The Z06 fronts use no spacers and hubcentricity is engineered to be maintained with the spacers.
