These are not made of just any carbon fiber, but "Prepreg" carbon fiber. Pre-preg is "pre-impregnated" with resin to exact measurements. It is mostly used in aerospace and by hypercar brands. It provides the absolute best visual, mechanical properties,, lightness and strength, due to accurate resin infusion.
Manufactured with 100% real carbon fiber. Also applied are layers of top-quality UV-resistant clear coat is applied using a high solid automotive clear coat system. Then it's fully polished by hand.

Get the 5VM kit or any Atomic6carbon product with any style of carbon fiber! After much expense, we can now offer the full range of carbon fiber styles from AEROLARRI's partner, Composite Envisions. It was mentioned that Atomic6carbon uses prepreg carbon fiber. Using Composite Envisions' fabric carbon fiber-to-prepreg capabilities, along with Atomic6's nimble production line and agreement we can now make everything in a variety of weaves. This comes at significant expense, but for those who want the differentiation and have the deep pockets to pay, this is the ultimate method.
It is no small task to do this. First, the prepreg conversion process nearly triples the raw material cost given the small batches and minimum order quantity. There are no economies of scale. The logistical efforts are huge also. Prepreg needs refrigeration at 0 degrees to maintain its properties, so refrigerated storage and overnight shipping are required. It will take 3-4 weeks for the process alone. Then the regular production line needs to be stopped completely and restarted for the custom fiber molding. So there will be around an extra 5 week wait over any regular times. But if you are still waiting for your C8, it doesn't make much difference. Also since the regular prepreg needs to be chilled and the custom fiber needs to thaw over time, accurate planning needs to be executed in order to minimize the mandatory production line down-time cost. So everything is custom. Returns are not allowed for custom orders, but we can approve unlimited "for sale" posts within the C8 Corvette Owners (And Friends) Facebook group. It also happens to be the most expensive and rare carbon fiber in the world.
